Microsoft Windows XP® and Windows® Vista™. Use Sense to author RSS Feeds.
The Sense Document Editor design is based on the concept that documents comprise individual parts such as headings, paragraphs and bullets.
At its simplest, headings allow outlining of document content as a two-dimensional view.
Conventional flat file formats do not accommodate this structural view well with the result that editors compete between word processors providing low level powerful presentational features and writing tools providing higher level typically block oriented outlining capabilities.
With a new file format, the Sense Document Editor shortens the gap between the competing requirements allowing low level block oriented content editing within two tightly synchronized editing panes providing alternative big picture and detail views.
Headed Sections allow related material to be gathered into true two-dimensional expandable / collapsible tree hierarchies.
And Numbered Paragraphs may be organised into expandable / collapsible Multilevel Lists too.
This concept realization allows a continuous flow of text entry and material reorganisation within a powerful and highly navigable editing environment.
Free Sense Plugins are available to transfer documents between common formats and the Sense file format: a RTF (Rich Text Format) Plugin for document transfer between Word Processors such as Microsoft Word and a Text Plugin for straightforward plain text.
But that is not all! The highly structured nature of Sense Documents makes it ideally suited for specialist tasks: a free OPML (Outline Processor Markup Language) Plugin is available to use Sense as an OPML editor. Tools are available to use Sense for both Editing HTML and Authoring RSS Feeds in plain text when you'd rather not commit to purpose built applications.
Sense products are designed for Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional SP4, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 with .NET 2.0 the minimum requirement.
